Brighton calling…London
(www.silicon-beach.com)
Brighton is regarded as a hub of new media talent and the growth and continued success of companies in this sector would support this notion. But are we complacent today in our pedestal position? Should Brighton be taking note of London agencies more…will London again win out in business pitches just because of its location? What does Brighton need to do to keep its competitive edge?
‘Can the South Coast compete with London’ is the theme of the second Silicon Beach (www.silicon-beach.com) networking night and promises to be as controversial
as the first night, questioning the speakers and the audience on their perception of their ‘comfortable’ positions in the national new media scene.
Speakers
Brighton new media supremeo Jim McNiven, co-founder and director of Kerb (www.kerb.co.uk); Tom Hume, co-founder and director of Future Platforms (www.futureplatforms.com) (a man given one of the highest new media accolades of New Media Age’s ’30 under 30’ of ones to watch); Graham Bradbury and Adrian Ridley-Jones, joint CEO's of TheTrainingWeb.com, speaking together on their 20-plus years experience in e-business, e-learning IT and telecoms.
As always the speakers will lead into an open forum for discussion amongst the speakers and the audience.
Venue
This event takes place at The Sanctuary in Hove on Tuesday, 2nd October. Doors open at 6.30pm for drinking and music. Speakers start at 7.30pm and continue until 9.30pm when the music and drinking starts again, giving people the space to talk and network amongst their peers.
